Asim Azhar (Urdu: عاصم اظہر; born 29 October 1996) is a renowned Pakistani singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He began his musical journey on YouTube, where he gained recognition by covering popular Western songs before emerging as a prominent public figure in Pakistan's music industry.
Born to Azhar Hussain and actress Gul-e-Rana, Asim rose to fame with his performances on Coke Studio Season 9, where his soulful voice and captivating style captured millions of hearts. One of his significant milestones includes the HBL PSL 5 official anthem "Tayyar Hain", which he performed alongside Ali Azmat, Arif Lohar, and Haroon.
In February 2020, Asim received the Best Stylish Performer Award at the PSA ceremony in Dubai. His hit single "Jo Tu Na Mila", featuring Iqra Aziz, crossed 100 million views on YouTube in May 2020, making him the fourth Pakistani artist to achieve this milestone after Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and Momina Mustehsan. Another fan-favorite track, "Tera Woh Pyar," sung with Momina Mustehsan, surpassed 140 million views by July 2020.
